My friend and I came here for lunch one day since we were craving something unique, flavorful and reasonably priced.
We were greeted with a packed house (always a good sign), and sat down to a fairly short but comprehensive menu. I ordered some of the jerk and the Khao Poon, but since I am on keto, I asked for no noodles in the Khao Poon. The server looked a bit wary about that, and that made me a little worried. Thankfully, the jerky that came out (and my friend's spring rolls), assuaged my fears.
The highlight of the meal for me was definitely the Khao Poon. Instead of noodles, the chef had added chopped cabbage, which definitely added up bulk and made the spicy, savory and out-of-this-world flavor stand out even more. Every sip, every bite was filled with eye-rolling pleasure, and the warmth and spice made me feel comfort. I would gladly order this dish again and again, and I will absolutely be back.
Also, my friend's combo mixed vegetable stir fry had the hallmark charred/flame flavor of a true stir fry, and portions were remarkably large. -

Just made our first visit to Thai Pakse and it is as good as the many positive reviews said. Excellent service, carefully prepared entrees and appetizers and pleasant and clean surroundings. We will be back.

This is a hole in a wall, but the flavors are amazing!! We were looking to try Laotian food and have had Burmese and Cambodian before in Los Angeles. This restaurant is def a gem and we are impressed to find such an establishment here in dfw that would rival any south eastern restaurant in Los Angeles. We got the boat noodles, one of the curry noodles ( forgot the name), crispy rice salad, and mango sticky rice. They were so many layers of flavors in the food. The crispy rice was amazing with fresh, crunchy, salty, and sour all balanced together. You wrap the crispy rice in fresh lettuce leaves which ends up making it quite light. Def try this place out!!
Update 8 hours later- we were highly disappointed that we all got food poisoning. -

The chef was very friendly and we met him at the front of the door. The food we ordered, the spring rolls and noodles, were done in less than ten minutes. They give a very generous portion of the drunken noodles. The beef was cooked well, and the noodles were also cooked well. Real flavourful. We will be returning again.
